The Battle

God isn't looking for seasoned veterans. He's not looking for mercenaries. He's not looking for theologians. He wants you. All of you. You don't have to be an ultimate warrior. THE BATTLE IS ALREADY WON! He just want's you to be willing to fight. You have to take that first step.

He gives us the same promise he gave Jehoshaphat. Jahaziel gave God's message in 2 Chronicles 20:15. He said: "Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the Lord says to you : 'Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God's.' The battle isn't ours. We just have to give Him praise and worship Him and let God show us his glorious might.

God loves us and wants us to be successful and victorious in all of our ventures. You just have to give him a chance to show you. There is no love that can compare to His.

Thank you Lord for all that you have given me. Thank you for the strength you give me everyday. Thank you.

Alabama Crimson Tide

Congratulations to the Alabama Crimson Tide for winning the National Championship! Saban has finally got this program where it rightfully belongs: The Top!

I think it's sad how much time Auburn fans spend trying to dispute how many national championships Alabama has won. Whether it's 13 0r 8, it's still way more than Auburn has, which is 0 by the way. It's really sad. I wish they could win one just so Auburn fans could quit talking about Alabama's national championships. Not really. I really wish Auburn would lose every SEC game they play.

And let's not say that Alabama only won the game because Colt McCoy was hurt. Who put him on the sideline? The Alabama Defense. He didn't fall in the shower or trip getting off the bus. A defensive lineman destroyed him. It is the job of the defense to punish the offense, and they did their job. Don't take anything away from Alabama because they are good at what they do. Alabama really won the National Championship a month ago when they dismantled Florida. This game was just a technicality. You see what happens when Texas's "#1" rush defense plays a good rushing attack? They get run over. The SEC is clearly the dominant conference in the land. They have won the last 4 BCS national championships. They might as well just make the SEC championship game the national championship game.

But at the end of the day, Alabama still has more national championships than Auburn, even if last night was Alabama's first.

Hall of Fame Balloting

Congratulations to Andre Dawson for getting elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame. It is a well-deserved honor.

But the real reason for this post is a player who hasn't got in...Mark McGwire. The guy has 583 career homers. 583! That is 8th all time. The only player ahead of him that isn't in the HOF is Griffey, and that's only because he is still playing. And Griffey will be a first-ballot HOFer. Sure there is the controversy about him using PEDs. But guess what?!? PEDs weren't banned in baseball until 2003. McGwire's last season was 2001. Why is he being punished for something that wasn't even against the rules? If he did anything wrong at all? In '98 when he and Sammy Sosa brought baseball back from the dead, he gave fans something to cheer for. He filled the stands for batting practice. BATTING PRACTICE! There was not a single game that season that the stands were not packed full. He broke Roger Maris's record of 61 homers in a season. Not only broke it, but crushed it with 70. Then followed it up with 65 the next season! The man dominated the plate for 16 seasons! He was the most feared hitter of his time.

Roberto Alomar almost got into the HOF today. He was 11 votes short. This man spit in the face of an umpire. HE SPIT IN THE FACE OF AN UMPIRE! You can not tell me that this man is more deserving than McGwire. It would be a shame if he gets in before McGwire. The voters have got this one wrong and hopefully someone will knock some sense in them and get Mark McGwire into the Hall of Fame.
